Writers Group In-Person
Join us for a month meeting hosted by the Florida Writers Association. We welcome writers of all levels, ages 18 and up. Each session features professional speakers covering a variety of topics designed to inspire, educate, and support writers in their creative journeys.
This month's speaker is: Chris Holmes
Chris is an author and graphic designer that has been an FWA member and volunteer since 2013. Those of us who are doing independent publishing are often challenged and baffled by the creative and technical aspects of covers and formatting. We know we have to get the right theme in an attention-grabbing cover to even get the readers first look at our work. Once they do look inside the interior design, layout, images, text, etc. has to be perfectly professional to keep them with us.
Bring your open minds and thinking caps to join in the creative journey of cover design with Chris. We'll share screen prints and process of the interior design aspect (provided by Autumn Skye) and take a deep collective dive into the design process that results in the images, title fonts, description, etc. that grace the wrapper of your masterpiece.
