Mind-Body Yoga

Mind-Body Yoga In-Person

Yoga is a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation.

Mind-Body Yoga is an all-levels class that includes breath awareness, stretching, standing postures, balancing and relaxation. This class is appropriate for anyone and everyone (but does require being able to stand up from the floor). This practice helps develop strength, balance, and flexibility in both body and mind. Yoga is a personal practice- there is no judgment, no competition and no expectations other than to show up, roll out your mat, breathe and enjoy some time with yourself.

Andrea Hernandez, owner of the Yoga Den Fleming Island studio, has been teaching yoga for over 10 years and practicing yoga for over 25 years. After so much time on the mat, she continues to grow, learn and discover the magic of yoga. Andrea is grateful to be able to share the benefits of this practice with others.

This program made possible by American Rescue Plan: Humanities Grants for Libraries. An initiative of the American Library Association (ALA) made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
