Augusta Savage Community Fine Arts Program: In-Person

In cooperation with the Friends of the Augusta Savage Arts & Community Center, the Green Cove Springs Branch Library is proud to offer a fine arts workshop series intended to bring local youth and their families a greater awareness of and hands-on experience with visual arts inspired by the legacy of Augusta Fells Savage.

The March session will focus on the ancient art of printmaking which is the process of creating artworks by printing, normally on paper, but also on fabric, wood, metal, and other surfaces. Students will design a monogram, transfer it to a printing block, and create a monoprint.  Emphasis will include line, contrast, pattern and repetition

Recommended for ages 6-11.  Class space is limited.
