Augusta Savage Community Fine Arts Program: In-Person
In cooperation with the Friends of the Augusta Savage Arts & Community Center, the Green Cove Springs Branch Library is proud to offer a fine arts workshop series intended to bring local youth and their families a greater awareness of and hands-on experience with visual arts inspired by the legacy of Augusta Fells Savage.
The December session will focus on Georgia O’Keeffe’s watercolor “Light Coming On The Plains No. 1". Students will use watercolors to paint a large-scale, abstract landscape painting similar to O’Keeffe's. Emphasis will include implied line, subdued color, shape, and value.
Recommended for ages 6-11. Class space is limited.
